Advisory / Redesign

See what your company should look like now that synthetic labor exists.

A four-week, fixed-price diagnostic of one business unit, one function, or up to five high-value workflows. You get a redesigned operating model for that scope, the numbers behind it, and a 90-day plan to start building it.

Who it is for

CEOs, COOs and operating partners at midmarket companies. You already know AI matters. You are not sure what your company should become because of it.

Decide whether to state a company size range for “midmarket”.

This is for you if:

  • Every new unit of growth still needs new hires.

  • Your AI pilots worked in a demo and never reached production.

  • Too much of the day is people chasing other people for updates.

  • Getting a straight number out of the business takes a meeting.

It is not for you if you want a chatbot installed. That is a tool purchase. This is a redesign.

What you get

Six things you keep, whether or not we work together afterward.

  1. A map of how work really moves.

Inside the agreed scope: every handoff, every wait, every place a person exists only to pass information along.

  2. Your redesigned operating model.

Which work humans own. Which work goes to synthetic labor. Who decides what. Built on the RousseauAi Work Redesign Model: Strip, Sort, Shift, Supervise, Score.

  3. The economics.

The cost, capacity and margin effect of each change, worked from your own numbers.

  4. A ranked roadmap.

The first three builds, ordered by value and effort, with a 90-day plan for the first.

  5. A control plan.

How the new system is supervised, where it escalates to people, and how results are measured.

  6. An executive readout.

A 90-minute working session with your leadership team.

No slideware. Every recommendation names who does the work, what it costs and how you will know it worked.

Scope

Every Redesign covers a defined perimeter, agreed before we start: one business unit, one operating function, or up to five high-value workflows. The readout includes a view of the wider company, but detailed redesign stays inside the perimeter. A larger perimeter means a larger fixed price, quoted up front.

Confirm the perimeter (up to five workflows) and the client time commitment.

It assumes:

  • A named executive sponsor who can make decisions.
  • Read access to the systems and data behind the workflows in scope.
  • Time with the people who actually do the work.

How it works

Four weeks. Fully remote.

  1. Discover

    Week 1

Conversations with your leadership and the people who do the work. Read access to the systems that run the business.

  2. Map

    Week 2

The current state on one page. What each handoff, delay and manual step costs you.

  3. Redesign

    Week 3

The new operating model, human and synthetic, with the economics attached.

  4. Decide

    Week 4

The roadmap and the readout. You leave with a decision, not a deck.

What I need from you: your sponsor for about an hour a week, plus the kickoff and the readout; 60 to 90 minutes each with four to eight people who do the work; one working contact who can answer questions within a day; and read access to the systems in scope.

Price

From $25,000.

Fixed price, agreed before we start.

The final figure depends on the size and complexity of the business. You know it before you sign. It does not move.

  • Half at kickoff, half at the readout.
  • If you start a Build within 60 days, half the fee counts toward it.
  • No hourly billing. No surprise invoices.

Confirm the $25K price, the 50/50 payment split and the 50% credit toward Build.

Why me

I have redesigned businesses, not just advised them.

I helped scale Gazelle.com past $100M before its acquisition by Outerwall. Since then I have built AI systems inside operating companies myself:

Replace these three lines with wording from the finished proof stories. Logistics and jewelry clients stay unnamed until they agree.

  • Logistics

AI across a national moving company to get more out of its people and fleet.

  • Supply chain

AI-driven supply chain management for a jewelry manufacturer supplying Target and Kohl’s.

  • Energy

AI monitoring, reporting and dashboards for Nexus Green, a solar company.

I also run my own ventures on a small human team and a synthetic one. I recommend what I already operate.

What comes after

The roadmap is yours either way.

If you want help building it, there are two next steps:

  • Build

Puts the first redesign into production, with a 90-day target.

  • Operate

Ongoing leadership to run, measure and extend the new model.

No obligation. You decide at the readout.

Questions

Does our data need to be clean first?
No. The diagnostic tells you which data problems matter and which can wait.
Will you tell us which AI tools to buy?
Where it matters, yes. The model comes first. Tools are chosen to fit it.
What if AI is the wrong answer for part of the business?
Then you will hear that. Some work should stay human. Knowing which is half the value.
Do you work on site?
No. Everything runs remotely, across time zones, in English.
